Overview

What is MOXI?

MOXI™ Prejuvenation by Sciton is a gentle, non-surgical approach to producing radiant skin. MOXI is the latest way to revitalize and refresh your skin’s appearance by correcting uneven pigmentation and improving tone and texture. MOXI comfortably delivers a non-ablative, fractionated laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones which the body then repairs, replacing damaged cells with fresh new ones. MOXI is designed to provide tonal and textural improvements to your face with low downtime, resulting in skin renewal.

You’ll love the fact that this lunchtime procedure can fit into your active lifestyle any time of year and addresses the following:

  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Melasma

What’s the First Step?

If you are interested in getting the MOXI treatment in Lansing, MI, your first step is to contact Aesthetics MedSpa for a consultation. When you come into our boutique clinic, you will be able to meet with Dr. Ronan or a member of our Aesthetics team. During this appointment, the goal is to answer any questions you may have about the treatment, discuss what your appearance goals are, and evaluate your skin. You will need to answer a few medical questions during this time to help create your treatment plan. We are completely discreet and confidential so we strongly encourage you to be open and honest to help prevent any unnecessary side effects during the treatment or your recovery. Once your treatment plan is created and you agree with the plan, our Patient Coordinator will schedule your procedure.

What to Expect on the Day of MOXI

When you come in for your MOXI treatment, we will begin by applying a topical numbing cream to the area of the skin being treated. The technician will take the handheld MOXI laser and glide it across your skin, which can produce a slight warming sensation. This warmth indicates that the laser is doing its job by creating micro-coagulation zones in your skin, inciting your body to react by naturally repairing these zones and replacing the damaged cells with healthy and vibrant skin.

Depending on the size of the treatment area or areas, this procedure will last anywhere between 30 – 90 minutes.

MOXI Recovery

Your post-treatment care for MOXI couldn’t be simpler! You will be able to return to your normal activities immediately afterward, even work if you’d like! You should wear moisturizing sunscreen and do your best to avoid sunlight, as your skin will be sensitive to UV rays. You will need to avoid wearing makeup for the first 24 hours to give your refreshed skin the best chance to heal properly.

Your skin may appear red after your treatment, and depending on the level of your treatment, you may see micro dots where the laser was applied called “mends”. As the microzones heal, they will darken and may feel rough to the touch, but after about three or five days, these mends will fall off and reveal the new skin beneath.

If you require multiple sessions, they will need to be separated by about two to six weeks, depending on the coverage area and the health of the skin underneath.

Real Reviews

“ I have been seeing Dr. Ronan for Botox for migraines for years. Due to my Moyamoya disease nothing takes my pain away completely but the injections do help. He is great, and his staff is very nice. He is also my husband’s general practitioner. He is a wonderful doctor and a very nice person.”
