HydraFacial is a 3-step facial that cleanses, hydrates, and exfoliates. The treatment is an incredibly fast and efficient technique to deliver moisturizing serums into your skin. At Aesthetics MedSpa, we use medical-grade serums and boosters to give you glowing skin. HydraFacial uses a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, and painless extractions are delivered thanks to the spiral design of the wand.

What’s the First Step?
The first step in getting a HydraFacial in Lansing, MI is to schedule an appointment with Aesthetics MedSpa. When you come into our boutique clinic, you will be able to meet with Dr. Ronan or a highly trained member of our Aesthetics team. During this one-on-one interaction, the two of you will discuss your goals, evaluate your skin, and create a personalized treatment plan. You will need to answer a few medical history questions to ensure you have a successful and safe treatment and recovery, so it’s very important to be open and honest. What to Expect on the Day of HydraFacial
When you come in for your HydraFacial treatment, it will be performed in three simple steps!
Step 1: Cleanse and Peel
Also referred to as the “resurfacing” step, the Aesthetician will begin removing the outer layer of dead skin cells from your skin with exfoliation built into the tip of the HydraFacial wand. This step is very important and plays a very beneficial role in skin care as it leaves the skin looking brighter, unclogs pores, and can even increase collagen production with long-term use.
Step 2: Extract and Hydrate
Now that all the dead skin is gone, the technician turns their attention to getting rid of all the nasty gunk in your pores. The tip will remove the sebaceous filament (the white stuff) while simultaneously delivering a topical moisturizer.
Step 3: Infuse and Protect
The final step in your treatment is also what we consider to be the most important one. The handheld HydraFacial wand delivers the “booster” serum that is geared toward your skin goals. Depending on what is discussed during your consultation, this step can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or large pores.
Your entire treatment will last about 30 minutes from start to finish.

You will be able to return to your normal routine immediately following your treatment. Some patients have expressed feeling a tightness in their face or have a red tone to their skin, but this usually only lasts an hour or so. While you can do most of what you normally would, we do recommend avoiding any strenuous exercise and makeup used for at least 24 hours. It is also strongly recommended to treat your fresh skin with an appropriate skincare routine to maximize its benefits.
