What is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a 3-step facial that cleanses, hydrates, and exfoliates. The treatment is an incredibly fast and efficient technique to deliver moisturizing serums into your skin. At Aesthetics MedSpa, we use medical-grade serums and boosters to give you glowing skin. HydraFacial uses a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, and painless extractions are delivered thanks to the spiral design of the wand.
This treatment is a great and effective way to treat the following skin conditions:
- Age spots
- Enlarged and clogged pores
- Oily, acne-prone skin
- Dry skin
- Uneven skin tone
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage
Although similar to microdermabrasion, the Hydrafacial uses its exfoliating tip that is paired with suction to remove the dead skin cells from your face. Once your skin is exfoliated, the serums are infused into your skin.

What’s the First Step?
The first step in getting a HydraFacial in Lansing, MI is to schedule an appointment with Aesthetics MedSpa. When you come into our boutique clinic, you will be able to meet with Dr. Ronan or a highly trained member of our Aesthetics team. During this one-on-one interaction, the two of you will discuss your goals, evaluate your skin, and create a personalized treatment plan. You will need to answer a few medical history questions to ensure you have a successful and safe treatment and recovery, so it’s very important to be open and honest. Everything discussed during your consultation will be discreet and confidential. If you agree with the treatment plan that is made for you, our Patient Coordinator will help you schedule your schedule for a day and time that works best for you.
What to Expect on the Day of HydraFacial
When you come in for your HydraFacial treatment, it will be performed in three simple steps!
Step 1: Cleanse and Peel
Also referred to as the “resurfacing” step, the Aesthetician will begin removing the outer layer of dead skin cells from your skin with exfoliation built into the tip of the HydraFacial wand. This step is very important and plays a very beneficial role in skin care as it leaves the skin looking brighter, unclogs pores, and can even increase collagen production with long-term use.
Step 2: Extract and Hydrate
Now that all the dead skin is gone, the technician turns their attention to getting rid of all the nasty gunk in your pores. The tip will remove the sebaceous filament (the white stuff) while simultaneously delivering a topical moisturizer.
Step 3: Infuse and Protect
The final step in your treatment is also what we consider to be the most important one. The handheld HydraFacial wand delivers the “booster” serum that is geared toward your skin goals. Depending on what is discussed during your consultation, this step can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or large pores.
Your entire treatment will last about 30 minutes from start to finish.
You will be able to return to your normal routine immediately following your treatment. Some patients have expressed feeling a tightness in their face or have a red tone to their skin, but this usually only lasts an hour or so. While you can do most of what you normally would, we do recommend avoiding any strenuous exercise and makeup used for at least 24 hours. It is also strongly recommended to treat your fresh skin with an appropriate skincare routine to maximize its benefits.
How Much Does HydraFacial Cost in Lansing, MI?
The cost of a HydraFacial in Lansing is determined by several factors, including the type of serum used during the treatment. The best way to find out how much your treatment will be is to come in for a consultation. After your treatment plan is made, our Patient Coordinator will be able to give you a price breakdown.

“ I have been seeing Dr. Ronan for Botox for migraines for years. Due to my Moyamoya disease nothing takes my pain away completely but the injections do help. He is great, and his staff is very nice. He is also my husband’s general practitioner. He is a wonderful doctor and a very nice person.”
