What to Expect From Semaglutide Injections
The treatment requires a weekly dosage that is in a single-use injection pen, but it’s very similar to what diabetics are required to use, which may cause some people some minor and temporary pain. The injection can be administered in the comfort of your own home but should be done only once a week and on the same day of every week for the best results, however, it does not require to be performed at the exact same time every week and can be taken with or without food. The injections can be injected just under your skin in either your abdomen, upper arm, or thigh, and we strongly recommend changing the injection site with each dose. You can keep the location the same (i.e. the thigh), but you should do your best to avoid the same spot twice. Some gastrointestinal reactions can occur due to the treatment, which we have listed below.
Every patient has a different weight loss journey, so you may not have the same experience as someone else. We encourage our patients to be patient and understand that this isn’t a “quick fix” or substitution for a healthy lifestyle, but more of a helping aid to achieve a better body. You can expect your dosage to be increased every four weeks and could be on this routine for about four months.
